The Brief

One website. The whole Southern California design community.

Snyder Diamond carries the depth of brands and finishes the Los Angeles design and building community shops for. Over 300 brands across four showrooms: Santa Monica, Pasadena, Van Nuys, and Solana Beach. Five product categories: kitchen appliances, bath, hardware, outdoor, plumbing. Architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, and homeowners all walk through the same doors, but they shop in different ways.

The old website carried the brand and did its job for years. It didn't carry the operation. Inventory on the site was one number, inventory on the floor was another, and the breadth of the catalog was hard to navigate without help from the team. The brief was to fix that. One storefront that holds five categories and five kinds of buyer, running on the same data as the showroom floor.

What We Shipped

What the site actually does for Snyder Diamond.

Five categories, one curated catalog

Kitchen, bath, hardware, outdoor, plumbing. Each category organized the way Snyder Diamond organizes the showrooms, with the brand depth that defines the floor carried into the site.

A catalog the design community can navigate

Architects and interior designers filter by brand, finish, dimension, and spec the way they spec a project. The filter URL is shareable, so a designer can send a curated list straight to a client.

Live inventory across every showroom

One stock number across Santa Monica, Pasadena, Van Nuys, and Solana Beach. A customer sees what is available where, and the floor sees the same number the customer sees. No reconciling.

A trade portal that remembers

A secure customer portal carries order history, project history, and support resources between visits. Architects and contractors working with Snyder Diamond across multiple projects pick up where they left off.

Vendor ordering, integrated

Trade procurement flows through the same system that runs the floor. One record per order, from quote to vendor to delivery. The site is part of the platform, not bolted on.

Search tuned to the SoCal design community

Per-location SEO and structured data for Santa Monica, Pasadena, Van Nuys, and Solana Beach. A designer in Pasadena finds the Pasadena showroom. A digital ad reaches the customer who is already looking.

How We Built It

Four phases. One process we run on every custom build.

01

Discovery

A working consultation with the Snyder Diamond team to map the customer mix, the five product categories, and the expectations of the design and building professionals who make up a significant share of the business. We came out of it with a map of the buyer journeys and where the old site was getting in the way.

02

Design

Entry paths tuned to each kind of buyer. A filter taxonomy that designers, builders, and homeowners can all navigate. Detailed product pages with the specifications trade professionals need to make confident selections. A premium, curated presentation that holds up against the showrooms.

03

Build

Custom storefront engineering on HomeSource Commerce. Dynamic product galleries across all five categories, live inventory across all four showrooms, vendor ordering integration, a secure trade portal, a parallel Add-to-Quote workflow, the Design on Tap editorial section, and mobile-first checkout. Accessibility met across every platform.

04

Launch & Support

Hosting, monitoring, conversion analytics, digital advertising integration, and ongoing platform support. The site is part of the platform. It keeps getting better after launch.

Custom for Snyder Diamond

Features built specifically for this dealer.

The visual layer and the dealer-specific functionality were designed and engineered by our in-house team for Snyder Diamond's brand, audience, and operation. A handful of the pieces we built:

  • Design on Tap
Snyder Diamond's own editorial section, with the tagline "Look. Learn. Get Inspired." The team writes and publishes their own design journalism with bylines from staff and the Diamond family themselves. Custom layout, custom typography, custom upload flow for their content team. Not a stock blog template.
  • Trade Rewards Program portal
Launched in 2026, the program offers quarterly cash-back to licensed architects, interior designers, builders, and developers across SoCal. The site is the front door for the whole program. Trade signup, sales-volume tracking, the rewards dashboard, all running off the same customer record as purchasing.
  • Add to Quote, alongside Add to Cart
Every product offers a parallel trade workflow. Designers and contractors build project quotes from the live catalog and send them to a Snyder Diamond rep to finalize. Retail and trade run in the same place.
  • 300+ brand landing pages
Every vendor brand gets its own curated landing page with filters. The category trees are hand-built (Cooking → Ranges, Cooktops, Ovens, Rangetops, Hoods, Microwaves) to match how the showrooms organize the floor, not a generic e-commerce hierarchy.

Built on HomeSource Commerce

Online and in-store, one operation.

Snyder Diamond runs on a custom HomeSource Commerce build, designed and engineered by our in-house team. HomeSource Commerce is the e-commerce platform built specifically for independent appliance, furniture, and plumbing retailers. The site is part of the same system that runs the showroom floor. One workflow across every location. A single pane of glass for the team.

Your website and your POS share the same data.

Every online sale updates inventory in HomeSource the moment it happens. Every floor sale updates the website. Pricing changes from manufacturers flow to product pages automatically. No reconciliation. No drift.

Built by a team that designs for this industry.

Catalog structures, product specs, finish swatches, multi-category browsing, trade portals, delivery zone logic, multi-location SEO. Designed in for appliance, furniture, and plumbing retailers. Not retrofitted from a fashion or DTC template.

Designed and built by the HomeSource team.

No site builder. No template marketplace. Our in-house design team works with you to build a custom storefront on top of the platform that runs your business.
