Case Study · Royal Green
Sixty-five years of after-the-sale service, now on the website.
Royal Green spent six decades earning Tri-State customers with what happens after the appliance is delivered. The new site says so on the homepage, not in small print, and the e-commerce catalog underneath is the one the sales floor already uses.

The Brief
The thing that sets Royal Green apart happens after checkout. The site had to say so first.
Royal Green Appliance Center has operated in the Tri-State area for more than 65 years. Their reputation is built on a standard they call After the Sale Service: the ongoing support customers get well beyond the point of purchase. Appliance replacement. Kitchen remodeling guidance. Routine service calls. An active relationship long after the initial transaction.
That post-sale commitment is the main reason customers pick Royal Green over a big-box store. On the old site, it lived in small print. A first-time visitor couldn't tell this was a different kind of appliance retailer. The new site needed to surface the service relationship from the first interaction, and give customers an e-commerce experience that matched the standard of the showroom.
What We Shipped
What the site actually does for Royal Green.
After the Sale Service, front and center
The service promise is surfaced on the homepage, on product pages, and in the main navigation. Not buried in small print. A customer hits royalgreenny.com and immediately sees what 65 years of relationship looks like.
A full e-commerce catalog, the way appliances are shopped
Category, brand, finish, fuel type, dimensions, price. Customers filter the way the floor talks about appliances. Product pages include the specs, finishes, clearances, and rebates a buyer actually needs before committing.
Service access right next to product discovery
Browsing for a range and scheduling a service call live one click apart on the same site. Navigation supports both jobs at once: new customer acquisition and the long-running service relationship, without the site feeling like two products bolted together.
A shopping experience that matches the showroom
Real photography, the specs the floor uses to talk about appliances, and a buy box that handles online checkout cleanly. The site reads the way the Tri-State customer remembers the store: organized, knowledgeable, no pressure.
Catalog that stays current on its own
New products from the manufacturer feed appear on the site automatically. Price changes, rebates, and promotions flow to product pages without anyone re-keying them. The floor and the website see the same catalog.
Kitchen remodeling and post-sale resources, easy to find
Remodeling guidance, service offerings, and post-sale support each have their own well-signposted home on the site. The resources that make Royal Green different are also the easiest to find.
How We Built It
Four phases. One process we run on every build.
Discovery
A close read of Royal Green's brand, their service structure, and how Tri-State customers actually shop. We came out of it with a clear map of what After the Sale Service meant in practice, and where the old site was hiding it.
Design
A clean interface that surfaced the depth of the Royal Green catalog and the reliability of the service approach, while preserving the warmth the customer relationship is known for. After the Sale Service was designed in from the first wireframe, not added as a banner.
Build
Storefront engineering on HomeSource Commerce. Product showcases tuned for appliances, secure online transactions, accessible product pages, mobile-first checkout, and a navigation that handles product discovery and service access side by side.
Launch & Support
HomeSource provides ongoing hosting, maintenance, and platform support. The site is part of the platform. It keeps getting better after launch.
Designed for Royal Green
Custom design work, not a stock template.
Royal Green's audience isn't only the homeowner walking in off the street. It's the builder spec'ing a 24-unit project, the kitchen designer pricing a remodel, the contractor on a deadline. The site was designed and engineered by our in-house team to serve that audience as a first-class customer, not an afterthought.
- Trade Partner Program and Builder Division, front of houseBoth programs have dedicated landing pages, sit in the main navigation, and surface in "More to Offer" on the homepage. A builder or trade pro hits the site and sees a path that's clearly theirs, before they have to ask.
- Quote Cart alongside the standard cartBuilders and designers don't press Buy Now on a 12-line kitchen package. The site runs a Quote Cart in parallel with the regular cart, so a trade partner can build a spec list, send it to Royal Green, and turn it into a project quote without leaving the catalog.
- Royal Plan and The Display Collection as branded modulesTheir extended warranty isn't a generic protection page. It's The Royal Plan, with its own visual identity. The outlet isn't a clearance bin, it's The Display Collection. Each gets a custom-designed home on the site that treats it as part of the Royal Green brand, not a template afterthought.

Built on HomeSource Commerce
Online and in-store, one operation.
Royal Green runs on a custom HomeSource Commerce build, designed and engineered by our in-house team. HomeSource Commerce is the e-commerce platform built for independent appliance, furniture, and plumbing retailers. The site is part of the same system that runs the sales floor: a single pane of glass across the storefront and the showroom, so the team works in one place instead of two.
Your website and your POS share the same data.
Every online sale updates inventory in HomeSource the moment it happens. Every floor sale updates the website. Pricing changes from manufacturers flow to product pages automatically. No reconciliation. No drift.
Built by a team that designs for this industry.
Catalog structures, product specs, finish swatches, rebate callouts, service-call flows, delivery zone logic. Designed in for appliance retailers. Not retrofitted from a fashion or DTC template.
Designed and built by the HomeSource team.
No site builder. No template marketplace. Our in-house design team works with you to build a storefront on top of the platform that runs your business.
