About HomeSource
HomeSource Systems builds software for independent appliance, furniture, and plumbing retailers. Every product, every implementation, and every support call is handled in-house by one team.

How It Started
HomeSource began in 2011 when two brothers, Greg and Jim White, recognized a gap in how independent retailers ran their businesses. Most stores were operating on disconnected systems, or no systems at all. The POS did not talk to inventory. Inventory did not talk to the website. Accounting lived in its own world. Owners spent their time stitching information together instead of running their stores.
Greg and Jim built HomeSource Systems to connect all of it. Not by bundling third-party tools together, but by building one platform from the ground up, designed specifically for how appliance retailers operate. That decision, building everything in-house, is still the foundation of how the company works today.

What the Company Looks Like Now
What started in the appliance industry has expanded into furniture and plumbing. HomeSource now serves hundreds of independent retailers nationwide across all three verticals, with a suite of connected tools covering point of sale, inventory management, CRM, e-commerce, payments, business texting, and digital marketing. Every piece of the platform is built and maintained by the HomeSource team in Marlton, New Jersey. Software development, on-site implementation, customer support, and payment processing are all in-house. When something needs to be fixed or built, it is the same team from start to finish. No third-party contractors. No outsourced support desk.
The company also runs a full-service digital marketing agency built specifically for independent retailers. Paid media, SEO, social, and e-commerce marketing are managed by a team that understands the appliance, furniture, and plumbing space because it is the only space they work in. HomeSource is not affiliated with any buying group, but the software runs stores across multiple competing buying groups simultaneously. Every retailer gets the same technology and the same support. Some client relationships go back more than 15 years at the leadership level. The mission has stayed the same since 2011: help independent retailers compete and succeed through better technology and better data.
